The Supreme Court of Canada substantially revised the law regarding the standard of review in administrative law in a decision released on March 7 2008 in Dunsmuir v New Brunswick ‘Standard of review’ refers to the degree of scrutiny which a court will apply in reviewing decisions of a statutory body. Before Dunsmuir, the law recognized three standards of review.
