The boards and management of highly successful corporate organizations are usually extremely reluctant to discuss what would happen if their corporate business vessel should suddenly hit an unforeseen reef in uncharted economic waters and founder. If things are going well for the business enterprise, boards and management are reluctant to spend time and money on planning for disaster scenarios. Such possible situations are usually ignored.
