British Columbia Has the Corporate Law Edge

The Business Corporations Act (the “BCA”) was brought into force in British Columbia on March 29, 2004. When introducing the legislation, Finance Minister Gary Collins articulated a clear desire for British Columbia to be an attractive jurisdiction in which to incorporate: “With our new act, we've adopted the latest, best ideas from other jurisdictions, clarified rules and embraced technological advancements like electronic filing. We believe this act will better serve existing B.C. businesses and help attract new incorporations to the province.”
