Each nation has an internal dispute resolution regime that includes a number of agencies and institutions designed to facilitate the resolution of disputes. Such institutions include courts, administrative tribunals as well as public and private arbitration and mediation facilities. Within this internal dispute resolution system, the role of the forensic accountant is well understood. Litigation support groups and forensic accounting boutiques have experienced significant growth over the past decade or so by serving and exploiting the demand for expert assistance in the resolution of commercial disputes.
