FMC Reports on Approval of BCE Transaction by Top Court

The Supreme Court of Canada has allowed the appeal and restored the Quebec Superior Court’s approval of the plan of arrangement by which BCE Inc. will be taken private by a consortium led by the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, thereby removing one major stumbling block to the completion of this takeover. Reasons for the Supreme Court’s decision have not yet been given.
