On March 12, 2007, Carole Taylor, the British Columbia Minister of Finance, introduced Bill 14, the Finance Statues Amendment Act, 2007, in the B.C. Legislative Assembly. The amendments enacted by Bill 14 and discussed in this article will take effect on a date to be determined by regulation of the Lieutenant Governor in Council. It is anticipated that this regulation will be promulgated in the fall of 2007.
