Jurisdictional Issues in International Cartel Litigation: A Canadian Perspective, Euromoney Yearbook - Competition and Antitrust Review

In most international cartel litigation which involves Canada, the allegation is a North American conspiracy – not separate conspiracies relating to Canada and the U.S. The relative smaller size of the Canadian market, coupled with its proximity to the U.S. both geographically and economically, means that Canadian sales are in many cases influenced or directed by a larger U.S. parent or affiliate company.
