Canadians’ appetite for political change is about to be tested in the next 10 days as the federal election campaign nears the finish line, guests at the Public Policy Forum’s election breakfast heard last week.

Recent polling numbers reflect major shifts in the fortunes of the major parties and many observers now believe the Liberal government’s 12-year run is coming to a close. Few however, are ready to predict the number of seats the Conservative party might win on Jan. 23 or to envisage the make-up of the next Parliament.
