In this article, Andy Pushalik discusses the Ontario Court of Appeal's ruling that independent contractors are to be "counted" when considering whether an employer must establish a Joint Health and Safety Committee.
The decision to enlarge the scope of the phrase “regularly employed” to include independent contractors will require some employers to take immediate action.
