John Rider LL.B., B.A., Chief Client Officer

As Chief Client Officer (CCO), John supports partners and other firm members in the development of client relationships and related strategies and initiatives. He is responsible for looking externally at servicing client relationships, and internally at strengthening the firm’s overall culture and standards regarding client service.

Having started as a commercial real estate lawyer at FMC, John practised law for a number of years before transitioning into business-focused roles. For over 18 years, John’s professional career has encompassed various executive-calibre positions, where he acquired an in-depth understanding of clients and their needs in both legal and business environments.

Most recently, John dedicated more than 7 years as Vice President of the Commercial Division for First Canadian Title, the Canadian subsidiary of The First American Corporation (a Fortune 500 company, publicly-listed on the New York Stock Exchange). In this role, he managed the development of commercial title insurance in Canada, and was instrumental in strategic development, team building and client service programs for Canada.
