Mathilde has over 20 years of experience in business law, with a transaction-based practice focused on private equity and venture capital investments and on mergers and acquisitions transactions for national, American and European clients operating in various industries, ranging from the manufacturing industry to the construction, telecommunications, distribution, service and other industries.

As part of her general corporate and commercial practice, Mathilde also counsels various clients on their day-to-day commercial transactions and is regularly involved in reorganization transactions, mainly in the context of her mergers and acquisitions practice.

She has also developed expertise in the construction area and she advises various clients on the development and construction of greenfield and other projects. In relation to construction, Mathilde is familiar with the drafting and negotiation of EPC and EPCM arrangements, and all related consulting, project management and contractor contracts.

Mathilde joined Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP as partner in 1997.

Acted as legal counsel to Petro-Canada in connection with various commercial projects, including construction and infrastructure projects involving the negotiation of various construction agreements
Acted as legal counsel to TransCanada Energy in connection with the construction of a 547 MW gas-fired cogeneration plant, including the negotiation and drafting of all required agreements, from the term sheet to the turnkey EPC contract and related contracts
