Doug’s practice encompasses all aspects of corporate finance with particular focus on project finance, public-private partnerships, private equity and venture capital transactions. He has extensive experience in the structuring, negotiation and documentation of a wide variety of transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, private and public offerings of securities, venture capital investments and banking, as well as domestic and international project and structured financings. As co-head of the firm’s National Public-Private Partnerships Group, Doug is a leader in the Canadian P3 sector, having advised governments and private sector participants on some of the leading Canadian P3 transactions across the country. He brings a unique perspective to these projects, drawing on his previous experience of P3 projects in the United Kingdom and Continental Europe while European counsel to an international investment bank. He is a frequent lecturer on project finance and P3 issues.
