Shawna is co-leader of FMC Edmonton’s Corporate/Commercial Group. Her corporate commercial practice has an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, international trade and business immigration. She has implemented sophisticated reorganizations and financings for a variety of clients and industries.
Shawna assists clients with a broad range of corporate commercial matters including mergers and acquisitions, corporate structuring and reorganizations, joint ventures, business immigration and commercial transactions. Shawna also advises foreign clients on establishing or acquiring businesses in Canada. Shawna provides trade policy advice to the Alberta government, has been a panelist in a number of Canada-US NAFTA Dispute Settlement Panels and has been counsel in a trade dispute under the Canadian Agreement on Internal Trade.
Shawna provides advice to clients in a wide variety of industries, including the oil and gas manufacturing and services, pharmacy, publishing, engineering industries.
