Ron’s practice focuses on the development and financing of projects and major commercial transactions, particularly in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
He has extensive international experience advising proponents, lenders and others involved in major projects and transactions (including electricity generation, transmission, distribution and supply; upstream, mid-stream and downstream oil & gas; petrochemicals and liquefied natural gas; and other infrastructure).
Ron has spent much of his career based in London, England with major London law firms, where he advised extensively on energy and infrastructure projects and transactions throughout the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
He has also spent time working as corporate counsel to major international oil companies. Ron began his legal career as a commercial lawyer in our firm in Calgary.
