Eric practises in the area of corporate and commercial law, with a focus on serving the needs of technology companies throughout all stages of growth. He is Co-Chair of the firm's Technology Transactions Practice Group and has extensive experience in advising technology companies in the negotiation and structuring of all types of technology transactions, including licensing, development, manufacturing, supply, and distribution agreements, the protection of intellectual property, Internet and e-commerce issues, outsourcing and mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP, Eric served as Vice-President, General Counsel and Secretary of Corel Corporation, a leading developer of graphics and business productivity software, and as Vice-President of Venbridge Inc., a provider of business and financial advisory services to early stage technology companies. In the spring of 2000, Eric was recognized as one of Ottawa’s "Top Forty Under Forty" by the Ottawa Business Journal.
As a result of his industry experience, Eric is able to provide his clients with unique insight and perspective into the many legal and business challenges facing technology-related businesses.
