Kathleen Shannon LL.B., B.A.Sc., P.Eng., Associate

Kathleen is a member of FMC Law’s Regulatory Practice Group. She practices in the areas of energy regulatory and environmental law. Kathleen joined the firm in 2007 as an articling student.

Kathleen is registered as a Professional Engineer in Alberta. Kathleen’s work as an engineer provided her with operational and project management experience giving her insight into her clients’ needs. Prior to attending law school Kathleen worked for a major oil and gas company, gaining five years of experience in environmental engineering and earning her Professional Engineering licence in Ontario. While earning her Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering at the University of Waterloo, Kathleen also gained practical engineering experience during co‐op terms with the waste management division at a municipality, an environmental consulting firm, an automobile manufacturer and major oil and chemical companies.
