Laura is a senior partner in the commercial department acting for national and international corporations, major institutions and government entities in respect of a wide variety of commercial and corporate transactions, including asset and share sales, asset leasing, asset based financings, partnerships, joint ventures, outsourcing transactions, restructurings and she also counsels clients on corporate governance issues. Laura advises on a number of major P3 transactions and also handles a variety of private M&A deals. Laura has extensive experience in the intellectual property and computer law field.
In addition, Laura continues her practice in aviation law in respect of commercial, regulatory, operational and claims related aviation matters. Laura was the former Vice-President, Law of Canadian Airlines and is consistently noted by Lexpert, The International Who’s Who of Aviation Lawyers and other leading international aviation publications and journals as a leading expert practitioner in Aviation Law. Selected consecutively in 2006, 2007 and 2008 as a leading lawyer by Best Lawyers in Canada.
Laura was a former member of the firm's national partnership board and the Calgary office local board.
