Cyrus Reporter LL.B., Counsel

Cyrus is National Co-Lead of the Public Policy Practice Group at Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP. In that capacity, Cyrus provides strategic and legal advice to a wide range of clients on government operations, regulatory matters, public policy advocacy and formulation. He also advises clients on a wide range of compliance matters including lobbying laws, elections laws, conflict of interest legislation and codes of conduct as well as laws relating to bribery and corruption of foreign public officials.

Cyrus possesses a wealth of expertise and knowledge in government and public policy as a result of holding various senior positions in the Government of Canada from 1994 to 2003. Among them, Cyrus served as Chief of Staff to Canada's Minister of Industry, Minister of Justice and Attorney General and Minister of Health.

Cyrus is a trusted advisor to many private sector corporations and assists them to successfully navigate the world of Government regulation and decision making. He has applied his know-how and expertise on behalf of clients in a wide variety of sectors including energy, telecommunications, transportation and infrastructure development. He also regularly advises not for profit organizations.
