Andrea is a senior employment counsel with 15 years of experience having spent her entire career, including articling, with a leading management-side labour and employment firm in Toronto before becoming a Partner of Fraser Milner Casgrain. Over the years, she has developed significant expertise acting for a broad range of private and public sector employers and has appeared before all levels of Court including the Supreme Court of Canada.
Andrea is an advocate for her clients in defence of wrongful dismissal and related tort claims; disability benefits litigation; human rights complaints; injunctions; class actions; and employment standards complaints.
Andrea also provides her clients with proactive strategies for all human resources matters such as employment contracts and executive compensation, policy development, and M&A and restructuring. She regularly provides training to all levels of management on a variety of workplace issues, including harassment and minimizing liability in potential wrongful dismissal claims
