Peter advises start up, early stage and mature companies on corporate/commercial and information technology law (including Internet, e-commerce and privacy law). Peter has experience in hardware and software acquisition transactions and technology services agreements. He also provides advice on corporate/commercial matters including venture capital financing related-agreements, acquisition agreements and shareholders agreements.

Prior to joining Fraser Milner Casgrain, Peter was in-house legal counsel at a Canadian technology company that offered an innovative prepaid/stored value payment product and service based on Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. He was also legal counsel at a leading Canadian technology company, also in the payments industry, that provides the processing of electronic payment and loyalty transactions. In these capacities, Peter worked closely with senior management and Executives at both companies, including CIOs and Senior Vice Presidents of Product and Development, providing legal advice related to their business including software licensing and telecommunications services agreements.

He was also an associate in the Business and Technology Law department of another national full service law firm where he acted for a variety of technology companies including Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and broadband fixed wireless systems companies.
