Shelley L. Miller Q.C., LL.B., B.A., Partner
Shelley is a member of both the firm’s Insurance Law and Commercial Law Practice Groups. Her practice encompasses a broad range of insurance consulting activities to government bodies, trade associations, insurers and intermediaries, corporate and insurance regulatory advice. She conducts auto, commercial and professional liability defence litigation. Shelley has extensive experience with legislative compliance guidelines generally. Shelley also has been engaged in tort law reform and scheme design facilitation, and risk assessment and management.

Shelley was counsel to the Alberta Automobile Insurance Board from 1980–2003 and has regulatory expertise in the area of compulsory automobile insurance compensation systems. She has conducted insurance defence and professional liability insurance litigation for over thirty years. 

She is the sole referee/arbitrator in Alberta for the 1986-1990 Hepatitis C Class Action Settlement.

She is a Director of the Boards of the Edmonton Regional Airports Authority, Royal and Sun Alliance and Alberta Municipal Services Corporation and has developed a special interest in corporate governance issues.
