Jules is a partner in the firm’s Business Law Practice Group and focuses on all aspects of taxation, including corporate international and personal tax law.
In addition, Jules frequently provides business and tax advice to owner-managed businesses and Canadian subsidiaries of international corporations, including advice on corporate reorganizations, acquisitions and divestitures. As well, he provides tax advice on income trusts and real estate matters. Jules also assists in appealing disputed tax assessments and advises on sophisticated international tax structures, including transfer pricing issues and non-resident trust structures.
From 1994-1998, Jules was the Managing Partner of the firm’s North York Office. From 1986-1989, Jules was the firm’s first resident partner in its Hong Kong office. From 1988-1989, he also served as President of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong.
