Bill has a transaction-based practice advising corporations, investment dealers and banks with respect to the structuring and implementation of equity and debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, other corporate finance transactions and joint ventures.

Bill is currently national co-chairman of FMC's M&A Group and the presiding member of the National Partnership Board of FMC. He is former Chairman of the Securities Law section of the Canadian Bar Association in Southern Alberta and a frequent contributor to seminars on corporate finance topics.

Bill has acted as lead counsel on a wide variety of transactions, including advising on public and private securities offerings (particularly with respect to IPOs and income trusts), structuring, negotiating and financing mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures and representing borrowers or lenders in connection with syndicated credit facilities, project financings, private or public placements of debt securities and other secured or unsecured lending transactions, including structured equipment financing and leasing.
