Shannon practices in the Corporate Commercial group with a specialization in the areas of Energy and Mergers and Acquisitions. Through her employment both in private practice and as in-house counsel, Shannon has gained practical experience in the resolution of legal issues arising in connection with upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas activities as well as in the drafting and negotiation of agreements relevant to each sector. She has also worked extensively in the areas of energy marketing and commodity trading.
Shannon's energy practice has focused on projects in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin, the Canadian Arctic and offshore Atlantic Canada. In addition, Shannon has worked on numerous mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and restructurings in the energy sector.
