Shauna N. Finlay LL.B., B.A. (Hons.), Partner

Shauna practises administrative law in the areas of health/privacy, environment, and municipal law. She has acted for clients with respect to environmental issues in corporate transactions, including conducting due diligence and advising clients on all issues relating to contaminated sites. She has also assisted clients in dealing with municipal planning and regulatory issues associated with large industrial projects.

Shauna also has significant experience acting for and advising health service providers on a variety of issues relating to policy implementation, operational issues and civil disputes.

Shauna has appeared before the Edmonton Subdivision and Appeal Board, the Edmonton Assessment Board, the Energy and Utilities Board, the Alberta Environmental Appeals Board, the Court of Queen’s Bench, the Court of Appeal, and the Federal Court of Canada. Shauna previously practised environmental law in Toronto before joining FMC in 2004 and was legal counsel at the Alberta Court of Appeal.
