As a Partner with Fraser Milner Casgrain’s Intellectual Property national practice team, Peter helps local and international clients navigate through the trade-mark selection and protection process. Peter is the senior member of the Ottawa Intellectual Property Group and his practice is restricted entirely to Intellectual Property.
Peter is experienced in preparation of trade-mark registrability and infringement opinions. Peter prosecutes trade-mark applications in Canada and maintains a busy opposition practice. He counsels clients in the selection and protection of trade-marks worldwide. He participates in re-branding, trade-mark acquisition and the negotiation of licensing agreements, facilitates intellectual property due diligence, assists in intellectual property litigation matters, and advises generally on all aspects of intellectual property enforcement and policing. Peter also has expertise in copyright and domain name matters.
Prior to joining Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP, Peter was a member of the Trade-mark Opposition Board.
