Will is the leader of the Calgary Employment and Labour group and works in all areas of labour and employment law including employment litigation, labour arbitrations, employment standards disputes, disability insurance, unjust dismissal claims, labour board proceedings, and human rights issues. Will also provides advice on labour and employment matters such as hiring, termination, layoff, corporate reorganization, workplace contracts and policies, and employment benefits. Will's clients include large and small corporations, financial institutions, insurance companies, and not-for-profit organizations.
Will regularly appears as counsel before the Superior Courts of Alberta and British Columbia, the Alberta and British Columbia Courts of Appeal, and the Federal Court of Canada. Will also argues before a variety of administrative boards and tribunals, including the Labour Relations Boards of Alberta, British Columbia and Canada.
Through the Legal Education Society of Alberta and the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia, Will regularly instructs courses for other lawyers on labour and employment law and civil procedure. Will has written several books on employment law. Will is also a regular contributor of articles and chapters to a variety of books and periodicals on labour and employment law topics.
