Peter Banks is an associate with the firm’s litigation practice group with a focus on corporate/commercial litigation, construction law, constitutional law and appellate advocacy.
In 2002, Peter graduated as the gold medallist from the University of Alberta. He was called to the bar in 2003 after articling with FMC.
Peter also studied at the University of Oxford where he earned a B.C.L. (with Distinction). At Oxford, Peter was awarded the prestigious Allen & Overy Prize for the Best Performance in Global Comparative Financial Law.
In 2004 - 2005, Peter clerked with the Honourable Mr. Justice John C. Major at the Supreme Court of Canada.
Peter has appeared as counsel before the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta, the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada.
