Aaron Milrad to chair Art Selection Committee for McMurtry Gardens of Justice

April 27 2007
Retiring Ontario Chief Justice Roy McMurtry is being honoured with a sculpture garden in his name between the Toronto courthouse and Osgoode Hall. The McMurtry Gardens of Justice will celebrate the rule of law and the administration of justice in Ontario. FMC is a financial supporter of the gardens.

The first sculpture to be installed is by Edwina Sandys, noted sculptor and granddaughter of Sir Winston Churchill. Representing her in her contract with Law Gardens Incorporated, the company running the venture, was FMC’s art expert and IP lawyer, Aaron Milrad. The president of Law Gardens Inc., Toronto businessman Seymour Epstein, was so impressed with Aaron’s expertise that he promptly made him chair of the selection committee for the other sculptures to be installed. The intention is to make the garden known worldwide as a place to visit in Toronto.
