New COO Orest Szot to Strategically Optimize Operations Across National Firm

March 1 2007 - Toronto
Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP (FMC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Orest Szot to its executive leadership team as Chief Operating Officer. In streamlining the national direction of the firm’s operations, finance, IT and marketing platforms, FMC continues to leverage its strength as a borderless national business law firm.

Development of this new role brings FMC into closer alignment with its clients and emulates the proven business structure to which most of them subscribe.

With more than 20 years of experience in client service and operations for global professional service firms, Orest is ideally suited to meet this mandate. As CFO for Canada and subsequently North America, he recently directed all financial management activities for Ipsos Reid Corporation and was instrumental in various team acquisition and integration initiatives.  Prior to this, he fulfilled progressive consulting and management roles at KPMG, leading to his position as Director, Finance and Administration, where he oversaw forecasting and strategic planning for its office services group.

Orest’s achievements to date provide a solid foundation for him to implement processes that will realign FMC’s national resources and deliver on its strategic objectives – to lead its clients to success.
