Michel Brunet, CEO comments on P3 industry in Québec
January 16 2008
As Québec moves forward with ambitious plans to jump-start the public-private partnership industry in the province, experienced national firms like Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP (FMC) are able to position themselves at the forefront of the development efforts, by leveraging their extensive experience in other provinces. In today's National Post, Michel Brunet, Chair and CEO, discusses FMC's P3 capabilities across the country, including their successful bids for new projects in Québec.
It was FMC's work on major P3 projects throughout Canada, particularly the Sea-to-Sky and Kicking Horse Canyon highway projects in British Columbia and hospitals in Ontario, that made FMC the best choice for counsel to the Québec Department of Transport on the province's $1-billion-plus A30 toll highway project.
As the firm continues to focus on emerging areas in Canada and abroad, the P3 industry in Québec is one that "we are confident we will see a lot of development and a lot of activity in," says Michel.
