Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP (FMC), one of Canada’s leading business and litigation law firms, is proud to announce that David Spiro has received a University of Toronto 2011 Arbor Award. This prestigious award is given in recognition of outstanding personal service to the university.
Most recently, David Spiro has taken the lead for FMC in partnership with Pro Bono Students Canada (PBSC) to develop a pilot project for law students to represent, on a pro bono basis, low-income individuals before the Tax Court of Canada. The University of Toronto chapter of PBSC will be the site of the first law firm initiative of this kind in Canada.
The award ceremony took place at the President's official residence at 93 Highland Avenue. For more information on the Arbor Awards, please visit the Alumni section of the University of Toronto website.
Congratulations David!
