Leveraging more than 10 years of strategic leadership on national and international professional development programs
Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP (FMC), one of Canada’s leading business and litigation law firms, welcomes Paul Ouellette as Client Programming Advisor.
As an advocate and ambassador to corporate counsel on behalf of FMC, Mr. Ouellette’s mandate will include identifying and developing client programming (CPD), focusing on business, legal and thought leadership themes most relevant to executives and corporate counsel, as well as engaging clients and corporate counsel through CPD projects, campaigns and events.
“Paul’s extensive knowledge and experience in professional development programming, coupled with his background as a lawyer, will add significant value to the services we offer our clients,” says John Rider, FMC’s Chief Client Officer. “His vast experience working with Canadian corporate counsel will be a tremendous asset in gauging their needs to help FMC create tailored programs for our clients, helping them remain current in their professional development obligations.”
FMC has created this client-focused role, which provides strong CPD offerings to the firm’s clients and firm members. According to Mr. Rider, “this is one more step in the growth and evolution of FMC, and aligns with our objective of understanding our clients’ needs, and adding greater value and support to our clients and our people.”
Prior to joining FMC, Mr. Ouellette spent nearly five years as Director of Professional Development for the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association (CCCA). His experience with the CCCA, providing strategic leadership on national and international professional development programs, conferences and seminars, will be of significant value in his new role as FMC’s Client Programming Advisor.
A graduate of the University of Alberta Faculty of Law, Mr. Ouellette is currently a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, Canadian Bar Association and the Association for Continuing Legal Education.
