Q: What is the history of Fraser Milner Casgrain?
A: For more than 165 years, FMC has distinguished itself as one of Canada’s leading full service business law firms. The firm has grown both organically and through mergers, the most notable being the 1998 merger between Fraser & Beatty and Calgary-based Milner Fenerty, a firm founded in 1912, to form Fraser Milner and its subsequent merger with Montreal-based Byers Casgrain in 2000 to form Fraser Milner Casgrain.
These firms brought with them a historic legacy and deep relationships in the communities they serve, allowing the firm’s international clients to easily tap into full-service and market-leading practices in each of Canada’s major business centres.
Since 2000, FMC has grown organically at a steady pace and enhanced its core and specialized expertise within its seven offices to anticipate and address the needs of its expanding client base.
