Cyrus is National Co-Lead of the Public Policy Practice Group at Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP. In that capacity, Cyrus provides strategic and legal advice to a wide range of clients on government operations, regulatory matters and public policy formulation.
Cyrus possesses a wealth of expertise and knowledge in government and public policy as a result of holding various senior positions in the Government of Canada from 1994 to 2003. Among them, Cyrus served as Chief of Staff to Canada's Minister of Industry, Minister of Justice and Attorney General and Minister of Health.
Cyrus is a trusted advisor to many private sector corporations and assists them to successfully navigate the world of Government regulation and decision making. He has applied his know-how and expertise on behalf of clients in sectors as diverse as energy, telecommunications, transportation and infrastructure development.
Cyrus is an active participant in politics and the Liberal Party of Canada. He has served as a member of the Liberal Party of Canada National Campaign Committee in the general elections of 1993, 1997, 2000 and 2006. He has served as Secretary Treasurer on the Liberal Party of Canada National Executive.
