Matthew Peters LL.M., LL.B., B.S.S., Partner
Matthew is a partner in the Toronto office of Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP, where he advises on tax issues associated with international tax planning, domestic and cross‐border mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, corporate finance, and various other tax matters. Matthew has recent experience representing clients in various industries including manufacturing, financial services, telecommunications, natural resources and technology. Matthew has also represented clients before the Tax Court of Canada and the Federal Court of Appeal, with particular emphasis on tax treaty disputes. Before joining the firm, Matthew was a tax lawyer at another leading Toronto law firm and also served as in-house counsel at a major Canadian public company.
