David’s practice focuses on wills, trusts, powers of attorney, estates and charities, including planning and administration and advising on contentious matters. David advises on all aspects of family business succession planning. He acts as a Trustee of estates, trusts and foundations and as a director and/or officer of private corporations and charities. In addition, David provides advice to a number of charities and not-for-profit organizations.

David has held several management positions with the firm, including chief executive officer and managing partner of the Toronto office.

David’s expertise is founded on over 35 years of experience in working with some of Canada’s wealthiest families and business leaders. He is a trusted advisor on all aspects of their wealth management and often works with other non-legal advisors to provide comprehensive estate planning and administration services. David has acted as counsel to the fiduciaries, trusts and many complex estates providing solutions to a wide range of family, tax and legal issues.
