Provided advice, counsel and assisted in the implementation of estate and succession and wealth management plans for high net worth Edmonton entrepreneurs and their families over the last 25 years. These services include assisting in solutions for issues particular to families sharing business or investment interests in common, including governance, distribution of different assets dependant on interest or ability, providing for dispute resolution mechanisms in the event of disharmony and assistance in philanthropy, whether in the form of tax assistance in annual gifting or the establishment of private family foundations or donor advised or specific purpose funds with public foundations.
Provided strategic, corporate and tax advice and assisted in negotiations and documentation for the vendors of a number of private corporations, including the following which were reported publicly: The sale of North American Construction Inc. to The Sterling Group and partners; the sale of The Focus Corporation to KRG Capital Partners and the sale of Voice Construction Ltd. to Genstar Capital Partners
Provided strategic, corporate and tax advice and assisted in documentation of Employee Share Purchase and Option plans for a number of larger private corporations
