Since joining the firm as an articling student in 1974, Raymond has done exclusively civil litigation work. Initially, he practised primarily in the insurance litigation field. Thereafter, he performed civil litigation work of a general corporate/commercial nature, including oil and gas litigation, and has now expanded his practice to include all areas of civil litigation with particular emphasis on insurance, oil and gas matters, corporate/commercial disputes, banking litigation, native land claims and securities litigation. Raymond has acted as counsel in a number of major pieces of corporate/commercial litigation involving securities, oil and gas, banking, and contractual issues. There are over 150 reported cases where he has acted as Counsel in major corporate/commercial disputes.
Raymond is a senior member of the firm’s Litigation Department in the Calgary office.
