Doug is a senior partner and a Vice Chairman of Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP.  He also serves as the Chair of the firm’s national energy group.  His practice involves providing legal, policy and strategic advice to governments and corporations. His specific legal expertise is in the areas of corporate, commercial and energy law.

In addition, he is an active Board member. He is Corporate Secretary of Shaw Communications Inc., Chair of Prime Restaurants Royalty Income Fund, Chair of two Canadian health care businesses, and sits on the international Supervisory Board for the Addax & Oryx Group. Doug also sits on the Advisory Board of AECON Construction, is Senior Advisor to Greenhill & Co., sits on the Board of Governors of the University of Calgary and the Advisory Board of the School of Public Policy, University of Calgary.

Doug also serves as the Premier’s appointee on the Provincial Executive of the Progressive Conservative Party of Alberta as the Southern Alberta Finance Chair. He also served as the Provincial Co-Chair of the recent Provincial campaign.
