Martin Bernard has over 20 years of sound experience in corporate and commercial law. He represents private and public sponsors of large-scale engineering projects, as well as general and specialized contractors. He also acts for large corporations in the application and challenging of municipal regulations.
Since 1993, he has been regularly invited by the Canadian Institute, the Association québécoise des travaux routiers (AQTR) and the Semaine des infrastructures urbaines to share his know-how in construction law. The Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec and the Centre d’expertise et de recherche en infrastructures urbaines (CERIU) have asked him to be their legal advisor.
In 2001, Mr. Bernard has been invited to chair an international conference on municipal mergers. In 2007, he was invited as a lecturer on environmental liability of Canadian port authorities at the Association of Canadian Port Authorities's 49th Annual General Meeting and Conference.
Mr. Bernard joined Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP in 1987 and became a partner in 1991.
