Timothy is an associate in the Research Group of the Toronto office. Prior to joining Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP, Timothy was an associate in the litigation department of another major firm for five years where he appeared as counsel in cases involving contested take-over bids, securities class actions, insurance disputes, complex commercial disputes, privacy issues, the law of misrepresentation, corporate restructuring, and banking disputes.
Timothy’s practice consists of researching and analyzing complex legal questions and providing practical advice on matters of substantive law to the firm’s lawyers and its clients. Prior to attending law school at the University of Toronto, he received a Ph.D. in Social and Political Thought from York University.
Timothy brings his prior experiences as a litigator to his research projects in order to produce practical answers designed to assist his clients assess and advocate for their interests. He has appeared or assisted with cases before all levels of Ontario and Federal courts, the Supreme Court of Canada, the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench, the Saskatchewan Court of Queen’s Bench and a wide variety of administrative tribunals.
