SUMMERING WITH US

Our summer student program has been a part of firm life for over 25 years. In fact, many of the lawyers currently practising in our office started their careers at FMC as summer students. We will offer you competitive pay, great exposure to a variety of work and, most of all, an exciting, informative way to spend the summer.

Prior to arriving at the firm in early May, you will be assigned a mentor who will ensure that you receive a high quality of work from a variety of sources. Cori Ghitter, our Director of Research & Professional Development, oversees the program and promises feedback at the halfway point of your summer as well as a thorough exit interview before you head back to school.

You’ll learn a great deal here – from how to draft pleadings, to how a closing works, to how to two-step at our Stampede Party! Our summer program does not offer a formal rotation, preferring instead to expose you to as many different lawyers in a short period of time as possible. Our new summer student "bullpen" is designed to give you maximum comfort (it will include a flat screen TV!) while also providing all the tools to work effectively and efficiently.
