Today, nearly every business is touched by technology. Whether technology is the core of a client’s business, or simply provides the infrastructure necessary to run their operations, our Technology Transactions Practice Group advises domestic and multi-national businesses, government agencies and academic institutions in the creation, acquisition, use and commercial exploitation of technology and associated intellectual property.
In addition to negotiating the legal terms of such transactions, our industry-related experience allows us to anticipate and identify each of our clients’ most critical business and legal issues. In doing so, we are able to assist our clients in managing their risks, making business decisions in a practical and effective manner and structuring their businesses with an eye to the future.
Several members of our group have served as in-house counsel to technology companies, which gives us an "insider’s" understanding of our clients’ needs and the pressures under which they operate. We provide timely and efficient advice that is always focused on our clients’ key goals and objectives, and work closely with the firm’s other practice groups to provide our clients with expertise in related areas such as tax, securities, venture capital, intellectual property, litigation, regulatory issues and employment law.
