Cleantech, also known as “clean technology”, is new technology aimed not only at providing solutions to global challenges, but also at providing competitive returns for investors and users. Cleantech related issues are expansive and include not only clean energy production and generation, but also energy efficiency technologies, clean water, clean land, and an array of technologies that reduce green house gas (GHG) emissions, and other types of pollution. The common denominators in a clean technology are that they involve a smarter way of doing things, use resources more efficiently and providing a return to investors and users.
